Root Canal Therapy
You may need a root canal if you have sensitivity to hot/cold temperatures and are experiencing a toothache. A root canal is a common procedure where your dentist removes the inflamed or infected pulp from your tooth. After a root canal, we may place a full coverage crown to protect your tooth and restore its full function.
Anesthetic is used to ensure your comfort during the root canal. Most patients don’t feel anything during the procedure and say that their toothache was much worse than the root canal procedure!
Extraction
Sometimes a tooth may be too far gone to be saved and need an extraction. Your dentist will numb the area to ensure your comfort and use a special tool to loosen and gently remove the tooth. Your dentist will also discuss your options for replacing the missing tooth.
